To celebrate joining UK independent label, Hillside Global together we're excited to be digging into my back catalogue! Remixed by Thomas Atlas at Hybrid Sound Studios and re-mastered by Greg Chandler at The Priory Studios, both in Birmingham, England "Last of the Light" originally formed part of Adams 2018 EP,  "Peninsula". The brand new audio is accompanied by a lyric video filmed on location in the Basque Country and directed by Diego Urruchi of Media Attack, Bilbao. “Last of the Light” started life as a haiku inspired by a photo I took in St. Vicente de la Barquera, Cantabria, Spain during the “Unravelled Tour” in 2016. It’s the photo that appears at the beginning of the video. At the time I was creating a tour journal based on taking photos of landscapes and then instinctively writing an accompanying haiku.

The solitary boat which appears in the photo got me thinking about solitude and the important role it plays in creating space for reflection. This is the main theme running through the song.
